Bay Area Response to San Bruno Disaster

The Bay Area community has responded to the San Bruno disaster. In addition to the prompt help by disaster agencies such as the American Red Cross, religious charities, and PG&E, numerous local businesses and the local facilities of large chains have given free goods or reduced rates for goods. Hotels and house rental agencies up and down the Peninsula, even 50 miles from the disaster, have put in place policies to reduce rates by as much as 50% to people displaced by the fires when referred by agencies involved in the response and recovery. This is a major show of community support, compassion, and resilience. We should all be proud of it. It is a good omen for other disasters we will surely need to overcome.

Living Deliberately, Working Deliberately, Influencing Effectively

Do you live and work deliberately? Can you influence people effectively and well with emotional support for their creativity and compassion and patience with their evolution?
The Avatar® Course gives you skills to live deliberately. You can use the skills to examine any area of your life that you wish was more successful, or happier, find the transparent beliefs that self-sabotage you, discreate them, and create what you’d prefer. It’s a 9 day course that is worth far more than its price, and comes with a money-back guarantee.
With the right executive coach, you can learn to work deliberately and influence effectively. The coach needs to knows how to assess your current style, strengths, and weaknesses, and to help you convert the weaknesses into strengths. He or she can help you to create teams that succeed. A great deal can be accomplished in 5 hours of coaching, once per day over a matter of 4 to 6 weeks. It is particularly effective if the coach is a licensed Avatar Master and can use those skills and the evaluation parts of the ReSurfacing® Workshop to help you.

Workshops Now Available for Stress Management

We all know how debilitating stress can be to our lives, our work, and our relationships. New evidence shows that chronic stress is a stronger risk factor for heart attacks than even elevated cholesterol! (Science Daily Sept. 4, 2010: The University of Western Ontario. Hair provides proof of the link between chronic stress and heart attack)

Marika and I now give 2-hour and 3-hour workshops on Stress Management. These include actually doing mental exercises to reduce stress. You can then do these at work or at home whenever you want to reduce your stress. They are practical skills that have been validated on well over 100,000 people around the world.

We have already planned workshops for physicians, nurses, executives and managers; and scientists. Many other groups would also find them useful.

Please contact me via this website or at 650-380-9717 if you would like more information or references from people who have been to the workshop

Weekend in Santa Fe

What a great time we had in Santa Fe last week! Marika and I were there as part of a team of 40 or 50 Avatar® Masters delivering the Avatar® Course to an equal number of students. The students were from all walks of life – artists, CEO’s, entrepreneurs, hair dressers, housewives, lawn care experts, masseuses, museum directors, musicians, people looking for jobs, people recovering from alcohol and drugs, professionals, senior physicians, students, therapists, everyone. They were largely from the US and Canada but a few were from overseas.

The course is one of self-discovery, self-empowerment, and self-enlightenment. It is about discovering the relation between your beliefs and your experiences, and, if you wish, finding and changing beliefs that impede you or are even self-sabotaging.

Some students made huge gains in the first two days, the Resurfacing Workshop. Others made gains in Section II, the Exercises. All moved even further forward in Section III, the Procedures. It was awesome to watch and exciting to participate in.

And Santa Fe – it is a beautiful city, 400 years old, part of the old Mexican culture with New Mexican cuisine. At 7000 feet in the high desert, the air was crisp and clear, beautiful blues and purples, and the old part of town, where we were, adobe buildings full of artwork, jewelry, and crafts.

The next course will be equally exciting – Austin Texas from May 1 to May 9. Come and join us! Send me an email through this website for information.
