Management of Stress

The last post had graphics that didn't survive translation into the Blog format. Here it is in text:
I've recently presented a successful workshop on managing stress. It's outlined here. Please let me know if you'd like me to present it to your group.

 Attention on what you resist, persists
 That is stress
 Attention is a property of consciousness
 Attention draws things to you

 Free attention: waves of light
 Fixed attention: particles of matter
 More resistance = more attention fixed

 Goal: free up attention
 Awakening the Will
 Objective: to strengthen the will by describing objects
 Expected results: insights, calmness, and increased awareness

 Directions: Take a walk, notice something, and decide how you would describe it. Continue, noticing different objects

 Fixed Attention
 Do you have fixed attention on something?

 The Behavior of Attention
 Exercise:
 Expected results: insights, improved well-being, recovery of self-determinism
 For one minute, shift your attention around the room and notice how it fixes for a few moments here and is repelled there….
 For one minute, close your eyes and review the events of the past week. Notice how your attention lingers on certain things while other things seem to push your attention away…
